Ingredients

  1. Oatmeal- 1 and half cups
  2. Whole wheat flour (Aata)- 1/2 cup
  3. Plain flour (Maida)- 1/3 cup
  4. Butter- 2 tablespoons (60 gms approx)
  5. Milk- 1/3 cup (80 ml approx)
  6. Sugar- 1/2 cup
  7. Honey- 1 tablespoon
  8. Raisins- 1/3 cup
  9. Cinnamon powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Baking powder- 1/3 teaspoon
  11. Salt- 1 pinch

Method

Mix all the dry ingredients (Wheatflour, flour, salt, baking powder & cinnamon powder) in a separate bowl. Mix it well with a spoon and keep it aside.

In a separate bowl take butter (at room temperature) and sugar and cream them together. I have used an electric beater but you can also use a whisk or spoon. Beat it for a minute, add honey to it and again beat it for a minute.

Add milk to the butter mixture and and mix it well.

Now add the flour, oats and raisins to it and mix it with a spatula. Mix until it forms a dough.

Keep the dough in fridge for 15 minutes so that you can easily handle the dough. At this time preheat your oven at 170ºC.

Take out the dough from the fridge and take a spoon full of dough, shape it into a round ball and place the cookies into a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Place the cookies into the oven and bake it for 10-15 minutes until the edges of the cookies are light brown.

Take out from the oven and place the cookies into the cooling rack and let it cool completely.

You can enjoy this tasty and healthy cookies with a cup of tea or coffee.
