Coconut and Mango Burfi

Ingredients

  1. Clarified butter/ Desi ghee- 1 teaspoon
  2. Coconut Powder- 1 cup
  3. Milk- 1 cup or 250 ml approx
  4. Milk Powder- 1/2 cup
  5. Mango Pulp- 1/2 cup ( I used fresh Mango pulp)
  6. Sugar- 3 tablespoon (You can adjust according to your taste)
  7. Any dry fruits chopped for garnishing

Method

1. Take a non stick kadhai or shallow pan. Heat it on medium flame.

2. Add ghee and coconut powder and roast it on low flame for few seconds. Do not brown them.

3. Add milk and stir occasionally till the milk dries up. Then add milk powder and mix thoroughly.

4.Add mango pulp. Keep stirring and roast at medium to high flame.

5. Add sugar and keep roasting till all the moisture is dried.

6. Switch off the gas when it is well combined and dried.

7. Let the mixture cool for a minute and then transfer it to a greased plate.

8.Using a spatula or a spoon spread it properly and make it smooth. Garnish it with dry fruits.

9.Cut it into desired shapes. Cover the plate with a cling wrap and refrigerate it for 2 hours.
