Aloo ki Bhujia (Bihari Breakfast)-video recipe

Ingredients

  1. Potato- 3 big
  2. Mustard Oil- 2 tblsp (or any vegetable oil)
  3. Garlic paste- 1 tblsp
  4. Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
  5. Asafoetida (Hing)- 1 pinch
  6. Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
  7. Red Chilli powder- 1 tsp
  8. Green chillies- 2
  9. Salt to taste

Method

  1. Peel the potatoes and them into thin long slices like french fries.
  2. Put the cut potatoes into a bowl and wash them properly and drop them into a strainer and keep it aside.
  3. Switch on the gas and heat the kadhai and put oil in it.
  4. When oil is hot drop cumin seeds, Hing and green chillies and fry for a second. Then add potatoes and keep frying them on heat for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add turmeric powder and chilli powder and mix it well. Cover it with a lis and let it cooked for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.
  6. Put the lid off and stir it on high flame. Add salt and garlic paste and stir it well. Keep frying them until it becomes crispy.
  7. Switch off the gas and keep the bhujia up sides and make a space in between so that all the extra oil comes down.
  8. Take out the bhujia from the kadhai and Serve it with Poori or paratha.
