Mojito is a cocktail that consist of five ingredients: White Rum, Sugar (Traditionally sugar cane juice), Lime, Mint leaves and Sparkling water. Today I am making a virgin (non-alcoholic) Mojito, it is a wonderful drink made from lime and mint and bubbles with sweetness. It is very refreshing and a perfect summer drink.

Ingredients

  1. Lime- Half cut into small pieces and a wedge for garnish
  2. Super fine sugar- 1 tablespoon
  3. Fresh Mint leaves- 8-10
  4. 7-up- as required
  5. Crushed Ice

Method

Take a serving glass and put some sugar in it, then add lime pieces followed by mint leaves.

Now muddle the mint and lime with back of a rolling pin or a wooden spoon. Muddling mint is an essential part of making mojito. Make sure the glass you are using is not thin or delicate, else it can break in the process. Muddle the ingredients for 10-20 seconds. Don’t muddle for long else it will taste bitter.

Now fill the glass half way with crushed ice and slowly pour the 7-up.

Garnish with mint and lime wedge and serve immediately.
